Happy Halloween!

No sleep night last night. Maybe I'll fix my sleep schedule. Probably not, though. I've been sleeping a loooot and I had more fast food than normal this weekend and I think it's killing my insides slowly uuuurgh I think one of these day's I'm just gonna harf up a whole cheeseburger.

Also I finished reading Haunted by Chuck Palahniuk. It was pretty good, though some of the stories were a little disappointing. I think his style of writing is a little tiring, though, like it all starts to sound like the same story after a couple of his books. It feels like all his books are geared towards ~edgy~ people with short attention spans even though they seem to be trying to tell you why you shouldn't be like those people.....wait. I SEE WHAT YOU DID THERE CHUCK. lol.

Then on the comics side I bought and read Flight Vol. 1 and also read through the archives of Erika Moen's DAR.

Next I'm reading Catcher in the Rye and probably Bone since my sister bought the complete series. It feels nice to be actually reading books again. :)

oh god i need sleep what the fuck is wrong with me

So I made some hot tea earlier and put milk in and didn't realize it was bad until after I started drinking the tea. Maybe I should have checked, but I don't usually expect people to keep milk in their fridge that's been expired a week and a half. WTF Wes's mom?

I hope I don't get sick. :\

I need this movie. I love it so much and I haven't seen it in years.

I've been doing a lot more reading and drawing lately and I feel so much better than when I spend all my time online. At the moment I'm reading Chuck Palahniuk's Haunted and after that I plan on reading Catcher in the Rye finally.

I also have a photography project due. I have to make a composite image with 10 or 11 different photos by October 13. If anyone has any examples of this, post them maybe? I don't think it'll be terribly hard, I just haven't come up with my theme yet.


I am so excited that it's October. The air's cool down here in the South and my hair is getting long and I'm happy.

I haven't slept, I can't sleep, I have class in 3 hours and then I have to take my sister to work. Then I need sleep and Wes wants to see 9 tonight.

I feel like I'm going to throw up.

I'm not sure if I can do this. At least I don't have to work today.

Uggghh I gotta set some rules down for myself, even if I don't follow them:

I must be in bed by 2am. I should try to draw at least one thing a day. No internet unless there really is nothing else to do (hardest to follow ). Take vitamins every day. Eat healthy things and don't go "Oh yeah, I'll get something from Wendy's" just because Wes is going. No more soft drinks, not even Sprite, only water and juice and tea. No more missing class (I've already missed 3 days all together).

OKAY SELF I THINK THOSE ARE SOME PRETTY FAIR RULES I DON'T WANNA HEAR NO LIP.

I woke up with a sore throat yesterday and it progressed to me feeling really sick. My throat hurts, my eyes hurt and are watery, my head hurts some, my nose is runny, and I've got mucusy stuff in my chest and throat. I also only got a couple hours of sleep yesterday, so I decided to stay home from work, but I have to try going in today.

I really don't want to lose the money, but I sort of hope they send me home. I wouldn't be surprised if I'm contagious, anyway.

On the bright side, photography class is awesome. The teacher gets really excited any time she starts talking about it, and she's not all bitchy and pretentious, so I think this is going to be fun.

WELL WHY???

I wish I could fall asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.

I also wish this keyboard was quieter. :|

So my alarm screwed me over this morning and I missed the second day of my art history class. :\ I slept from 1am til 2pm. I think I need to stay off the internet at night. I stay up way too late and get no sleep or I sit on it all day and get nothing done. I need to only get on when I have something worthwhile to do, not every time I get bored.

Anyway, I dropped my math class. I realized while I was sitting there listening to the woman drone on about something I learned in middle school that I wasn't dreading this class because I'm bad at math, but because I HATE IT. Also that class wouldn't have transferred anyway so I was like "pffft fuck this" and signed up for a photography class instead. I think I may end up spending a lot more money on this one, but it'll probably work out better for me in the long run.

Wes may be getting this job with the medical records company that his job uses, and if he does he will be travelling around the country teaching people how to use the program. I can't even begin to care about most computer programs, so this seems pretty awesome to me.

Not much new stuff going on with me. I start school today. All I'm taking is math and art history. I've pretty much dropped all pretenses of majoring in something "sensible" and I'm planning on at least trying to go to school for art. I'll probably concentrate on graphic design or something like that. I'm not sure where I'll go. There are absolutely NO art schools in Alabama. Apparently Montevallo has a good art program, so maybe them. Of course, I'd really like to go to SCAD, but it's in Georgia and I'm not sure about out-of-state school and all I could do with that is take the ACT and apply for scholarships and hope for the best. Any advice, anyone? 

It's over now, though. I didn't get drunk or any of that cool stuff 21-year-olds tend to do. I did get some money from my dad and grandparents and bought myself a new camera since the flash is broken in my old one.

I understand that I literally spend almost ALL my time not at work or sleeping with Wes and am at his house constantly and usually spend the night here and that his mom, despite her various problems, is really nice to me and is cool about the whole thing and I really shouldn't complain so much. I also get that I probably shouldn't be up at 6 in the morning in the first place.

However, I cannot possibly understand how anyone who lives with other human beings, whether the house belongs to them or not, can think it's okay to literally stomp around the hallway and slam doors at 5 or 6 in the morning.

Oh well, maybe she doesn't realize she does it, but I kind of doubt that. She's the type of person who is pretty likely to want everyone to know she's up and doing stuff at 5am. Either way it's not my place to say anything to her about it, since I don't really live here or anything. Plus she really is they kind of person who if I did say anything about it, politely even, would probably act like a 5-year-old and pull the "Well, it's my house so I can do what I want" thing. I shit you not, I have seen her do it.

tl;dr: I know I don't have much room to complain but GOD SHE IS ONE OF THE MOST (SUPPOSEDLY) UNINTENTIONALLY INFURIATING PEOPLE I HAVE EVER MET.

Also I'm sorry to you guys who read this that the only time I ever post is to bitch about stuff. There's just not much else going on in my life right now that I really feel like anybody but those involved should know about, and I haven't been doing art or other interesting stuff lately so then all you get is me hatin on shit. Sorry. :\

I have been having some seriously fucked up dreams lately. Usually I can't even remember my dreams but I remember almost every ridiculous detail of the last couple. :\

Ehhh I've been kind of sad and discouraged lately, for various reasons. One of them is that I'm most likely going to be paying for my own classes because I still need to verify my taxes and my dad's taxes, but he hasn't done them yet and the deadline is in 5 days. The other reasons are just whiney personal crap that I'm not going into.

On the other hand, Wes bought me Venture Bros. Season 3! It's been keeping me pleasantly distracted.

I don't know why I can't sleep.

If I take tylenol PM or anything like that I can't wake up. But I don't have to be at work until 3:30 so I guess I'll be all right.

And I don't like my boyfriend's mother. She's crazy.

And I need to call my own mother. :\
